It's as easy as ABC to become a volunteer!
Our volunteers come from all backgrounds, occupations, and are of all ages(12 and up).
It doesn't matter if you are a student, housewife, professional or retired... the only requirements are that you are fit and healthy and want to enjoy that special feeling that comes with reaching out and helping someone else.

There are only 2 days out of the year we are CLOSED because of so many other organizations serving downtown:
Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day

Weekends are booked 3 months in advance.
Weekdays are booked a month to 2 months in advance.

PRAY FOR US
God blesses the ministry of Austin Baptist Chapel through the prayers of friends like you. Please pray for:

Homeless men and women struggling with physical, emotional, and spiritual pain.
Homeless men, women, and children who are victims of abuse.
Homeless men, women, and children who turn to ABC.
Our guests who truly desire change, and for their hearts to be open to the gospel.
Various factors lead to homelessness — job loss, eviction, family tragedy, addiction, domestic violence, a major health condition, and more. The common denominator is a major crack in their life foundation. Pray for their foundation to be in Jesus.
Our staff for wisdom, patience, kindness, and encouragement.
Our funding needs to always be met, so we can meet the needs of others.
Praise God for the lives being transformed at ABC.
Praise God for staff and volunteers who are ministering daily to people in need.
Praise God for donors who keep our doors open for our homeless neighbors.

Clothing Room

Volunteers are needed for collecting good condition MENs clothes.no stains , missing buttons or broken zippers or tears. Dignity for our guest please. (If you would not wear it please do not donate these for our guests.)

We are very limited on space so mens only.
We need donations of men's coats, jeans, underwear,socks,etc.. and used shoes. No suits please. We can use backpacks.
These can be dropped off at the church Any day between 9-11am.

You can Give Financially

To enable The Chapel to provide a Christ-honoring meal to those in need as we share the gospel, we depend upon the financial support of your gifts. We are donor based. We do not accept any funding from city, county, state and federal programs. All our funds come from gifts through individuals, Sunday school classes, Women's Missionary Unions, and a few churches who have included us in their budgets. ABC is a 501 (c)(3).
